Windows 11 is now available to download and install on your computer. One of the new features of Windows 11 is a QR code scanner. This scanner allows you to scan QR codes and access content, such as webpages, videos, and more, directly from within Windows 11. QR codes are short code barcodes that can be used to link to websites or other content. They’re often used in advertisements or on product packaging. You can use a QR code scanner like the one included with Windows 11 to access this content. To use the QR code scanner, first open the Windows 11 Start menu and search for “QR Code.” Then click on the “QR Code” icon that appears in the results list. The “QR Code” window will open. In this window, you’ll see a list of all the files and folders on your computer that have a .qrc file extension. (If there are no .qrc files in your folder, then the QR Code scanner won’t work.) To scan a QR code, first select it from the list of files and folders. Then click on the “Scan” button located at the bottom of the window. The QR code will be scanned and displayed in the window along with any information that was associated with it, such as website addresses or video links. ..

Camera version 2022.2206.2.0 is starting to roll out to Windows Insiders running the Dev Channel of Windows 11. The app was already capable of ‘scanning’ documents and whiteboards, where the edges are trimmed just like phone-based document scanner apps, but now it can also recognize and scan QR codes and barcodes. The built-in camera apps on most phones can read QR codes, and now you won’t need a third-party app for scanning them with your PC’s camera either.

Microsoft is also updating Camera to fit in better with Windows 11’s look and feel, with a grey border around the camera preview and updated icons. It’s not too different from the current app, but it has finally shed the last remnants of early Windows 10 design.

The new update was revealed alongside new features for the Media Player in Windows 11, including the ability to rip CDs.
