Logitech says the Zone Vibe 100s are “professional enough for the office and perfect for working from home.” I used them as my primary headphones to see whether or not they matched these claims. Throughout weeks of testing, the headphones’ comfort, controls, and sound quality thoroughly impressed me.
This headset is an outstanding value as long as you know its limitations, and thankfully, those limitations are few and far between.
Lightweight, Professional Design
The Logitech Zone Vibe 100 headset has a plain but professional design with matching colors for the fabric and band. I tested the off-white version, which blended perfectly into my work environment. This minimalist fashion is one of the key strong points since you probably don’t want to look like a teen Twitch gamer on an important Zoom call.
If you’re looking for lightweight headphones, you’ll find them in the Zone Vibe 100s—they weigh just 6.4oz (184 grams). They’re so light that you can hardly feel them on top of your head. But it’s not just the weight that makes the Vibe 100s so comfortable; it’s the materials used in the headphones, too. Soft fabric and memory foam padding cover the ear muffs, which is a refreshing departure from the scratchy, hard earcups that many other headsets employ. I wore the Zone Vibe 100s day after day with no issues, and their comfort was comparable to the high-end Jabra Elite 85h headphones I own.
Logitech’s work-from-home headset is also pretty durable. The band is flexible and stretches to fit your head, providing a snug but comfortable fit; it would only snap if you purposely exerted too much force. These headphones feel like they’re capable of handling everyday bumps and drops without causing concern that they’ll break in half. This resilience means peace of mind when throwing them into a bag and taking them wherever you go.
Intuitive Controls
The Logitech Zone Vibe 100 headset has several raised buttons on the rear of each earpiece that provide quick and intuitive control over essential headphone functions.
On the left is a volume rocker and a button to start or answer phone calls. The right side is home to the play/pause button that controls music and video playback. At the bottom of the left earpiece is the power button, charging indicator, and USB-C charging port. It only takes a day or two to turn the location of the controls and what they do into muscle memory.
Exceptional Sound Quality
The Zone Vibe 100 headphones don’t disappoint in the sound department. They’re equipped with dual 40mm speaker drivers that deliver a crisp and clear sound across various music genres. I could hear every note, chord strum, and bass beat, rivaling the sound I hear in my AirPods Pro. Audiobooks and podcasts were also outstanding. The sound quality was quite impressive for wireless headphones that fall in the $100 price range.
Even though the earcups completely cover your ears, you can still hear people talking and sounds in the background. You can counter this bleed-through by cranking up the volume, but that could be detrimental to your hearing.
I wish the Zone Vibe 100s featured active noise cancellation to deal with background sounds, but that may be too much to ask of affordably-priced, entry-level headphones.
Auto-Mute Makes All the Difference
One of the standout features of the Vibe 100s is the microphone boom. It folds out from the earpiece and automatically unmutes itself as it opens, so you don’t have to fumble with buttons or settings when it’s your turn to talk during a meeting. When you finish your call, you can fold the microphone arm up, which will mute it again.
There’s also a mute button on the microphone boom if you want to toggle the mute on/off yourself. This manual button is helpful for group calls since you can keep the microphone accessible when you need to chime in. When someone else takes center stage, you can press the mute button instead of folding the microphone back into the earpiece every time, which could get annoying fast.
Clear Call Quality in Most Conditions
Outgoing and incoming call quality was also fantastic in most conditions. I could hear the other person, and they could hear me. If you’re not sure your voice is coming through, you can adjust the sidetone settings to hear yourself talk. The boom microphone is a big help for phone calls, too. It brings the microphone closer to your mouth so your voice comes through with volume and clarity. The Zone Vibe 100’s microphone also has noise cancellation to block distracting ambient sounds.

The sound quality in the quiet room isn’t half bad, with just a touch of distortion and virtually no Bluetooth lag. Tested in a busier environment, the background noise cancellation is surprisingly good; you can hear commotion in the background and some distortion from the noise cancellation, but it doesn’t interfere with the call.
Fast-Charging, Long-Lasting Battery
I knew from the start that I would never run out of juice with the Zone Vibe 100s. Logitech promised 20 hours of listening time and delivered on that promise. I consistently used the headphones for a few hours daily during meetings and to listen to music, and I only had to charge them once a week.
When I did charge, it was swift, taking about an hour to go from less than 10% to nearly full. I could also charge them for a few minutes if I only needed an hour or two of power, which is helpful for impromptu sit-downs or finishing the last chapter of an audiobook.
The Zone Vibe 100s not only have fantastic battery life, but they also come with tools to monitor power levels. Whenever you turn the Zone Vibe 100s on, they’ll tell you how much battery life you have left, and they’ll also give you a warning when your remaining power is critically low. You can check the headset’s battery level by opening the Logi Tunes companion app, too (more on that later).
Multi-Device Pairing Misses the Mark
The Zone Vibe 100 headset paired easily with all of my devices and stayed connected until I was done using it. The effective range was superb, and I never had the connection drop while in the same room. I only lost Bluetooth connectivity when I went a few rooms over or took a trip outside.
These headphones support multipoint pairing and automatic device switching. They connected to my iPhone and MacBook, and they’d switch between them as needed. I could watch a YouTube video on my Mac and immediately switch to my iPhone when I wanted to listen to some music.
I did run into the occasional glitch where the automatic switching didn’t work. Several times the headphones didn’t swap devices, and I had to select the Vibe 100s in the Bluetooth menu. Other times, a Facebook video would autoplay and the headphones would switch from my Mac to my iPhone without warning.
To be fair, this unexpected switching is not unique to the Logitech Zone Vibe 100 headset. It’s a common problem with headphones that connect to two devices simultaneously.
Handy Mobile and Desktop App
Another handy feature of the Zone Vibe 100s is the Logi Tunes app. This basic app lets you manage some of the headphones’ features on your iPhone, Android, Mac, or Windows PC.
You can customize the equalizer settings, track battery life, and more from your connected device. It’s an optional download, and you can still enjoy the Vibe 100s without using the app, but it’s there if you want more control over your headphones.
Should You Buy Logitech Zone Vibe 100 Headphones?
The Logitech Zone Vibe 100 headset is affordable and built for everyday use in a home office. It features outstanding audio quality for its entry-level price point; only higher-priced headphones like the market-leading Sony WH-1000XM5 offer better sound.
The flip-down microphone with auto-mute is one of the Vibe 100’s best features. It’s so convenient to be able to move the mic out of the way and turn it off when not needed.
If you like the feature set of the Vibe 100, but want a little more functionality, you should check out some of Logitech’s other headphones. For more bells and whistles, you can snag the Zone Vibe 125 at a $30 increase over the 100s or the Zone 900s at a more substantial $240.
