If you’re like most people, you use YouTube to watch videos, listen to music, and check out the latest news and updates. But if you have an Echo Show, there’s a good chance that YouTube is restricting some of your access. Restricted mode is a feature on YouTube that can help keep children safe by blocking inappropriate content. But for some adults, it can be annoying when certain videos don’t show up in restricted mode or when they’re not allowed to see all the ads. Here’s how to turn off restricted mode on your Echo Show:
- Open the YouTube app on your Echo Show.
- Tap the three lines in the top left corner of the screen. 3. Under “Settings,” tap “Restricted Mode.” 4. To turn off restricted mode for all videos on YouTube, tap “Off.” 5. To turn off restricted mode for specific types of videos (like children’s content or ads), tap “On” for each type of video you want to enable (for example, “On” for ads and “Off” for children’s content). 6. Tap “Save Changes.” ..
The Echo Show lets anyone start playing YouTube videos on its small display. If you have little ones in the house, you might not want them watching everything you can find on YouTube. To fix this, the Echo Show comes with YouTube Restricted Mode enabled out of the box that filters adult content. Here’s how to turn it off.
To turn off YouTube Restricted Mode, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap Restrict Access.
At the bottom of the list, tap YouTube.
Tap the YouTube Restricted Mode toggle. You’ll have to enter your password to disable the toggle. Tap Enter Password and use the on-screen keyboard to type in your password.
Once that’s done, you’re all set! Now, when you search YouTube for videos, you’ll get all the saucy adult content you can find. Within YouTube’s content guidelines, of course.
